The Jaakarhu plate from Merimekko features the Jaakarhu (polar bear) pattern and it is made of dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer safe white stoneware.

At the turn of the millennium, Marimekko cooperated with advertising agency HEL-Taivas where Klaus Haapaniemi worked as a graphic designer. An outcome of this collaboration, Jääkarhu (polar bear) is a prime example of the freehand vector graphics of its era.
