Bring gentle organic warmth, quiet rustic beauty, and time-honored Japanese craftsmanship to your daily table with the Studio M' Kurinoki (Chestnut Wood) Cutlery & Utensils collection by Marumitsu Poterie.

Chestnut wood (kurinoki) holds a treasured place in Japanese material culture. Renowned for its natural water resistance, dense durability, and antibacterial properties, it was historically relied upon for architectural foundations and railway ties. Reimagined here for the dining table, each utensil displays a distinct, pronounced wood grain and a soft matte finish that feels wonderfully gentle against the lips and teeth - eliminating the cold click of metal against delicate ceramic bowls.

From soup spoons, renge, and dessert forks to coffee scoops, rice paddles (shamoji), and butter knives, the Kurinoki series ages gracefully with regular use. Each piece develops a deeper patina over time, pairing seamlessly with rustic earthenware (dokonabe), artisanal ceramics, or minimalist Scandinavian table settings.
